As I understand it the words the original owner stuck together are Spanish and mean something to the effect of  "Looking for breezes".
She spent her first six years in San Diego, CA  then another six in Port Angeles, WA  followed by a short visit to Libby,  Montana and now home ports in Ohio.  While she was based in Port Angeles,  her Captain sailed her to Bella Coola,  British Columbia,  Canada and back.  Taking seven weeks for the round trip.  The custom galley access was created by Rod Johnson,  the owner who sailed her into the Northwest.  And the door fronts I did in ash plywood trimmed in Teak.  The sliding door to the left is factory,  but the drawer and the fold down door were both added by Rod.

The lounger is just a little added padding to make the quarterberth more comfortable for extended sitting.  The padding can also be rearranged to extend the V-berth to add some foot room in the bow and the cabin cushions are remade in a denser thicker foam for better sleeping.  Tod has been a contributor to the MSOG for many years.  It's nice to have Busca on the Photo Site ~

Tod Mills became the owner of Busca in June of 2000.  She is one of the original M-History Boats and Tod writes: "BuscaBrisas [Boo'-skah Bree'-sass]  is what her original owner named her,  and each of the consecutive owners kept the name,  so I didn't have the heart to break the tradition.

One of my favorite photos from the Maine cruise is bottom right photo of "Busca Brisas" taken by Rick Langer. Rick has another great shot here on the photo site. Go to the album of his M15 "Bluebird" and check out the photo of his Nutshell pram.
