Boat Manufacturer TRITON enlisted the aid or Garelick Marine Products to make a very specialized ladder assembly. I'm told that the ladder is exclusive to the Triton line and won them kudos from the Boating Industry as the latest and greatest safety innovation.

If you follow the top photos, you'll see the ladder fully retracted in a waterproof housing fitted into the stern. Pull a spring loaded ring and the ladder extends out and down. After the ladder is extended the foot steps are folded out. The ladder is easily released from in the boat or in the water.
The bottom row of pictures is of a second Triton Boat (standard safety equipment) with the ladder cap in a black color to match the hull.
Since the sailboat industry is not competitive with the Bass Fisherman, maybe somone in the MSOG will contact Triton to see if the ladder is available.  Certainly gets rid of the ugly ladder hanging on the stern. The stand off distance and length should make it easy to use
