Over the years the enter board has deteriorated to the point where the aft pin no longer holds the board in place when it is fully lowered. To address this, there were three options. 10 to have a new center board cut, 2) weld a piece of metal on to the center board allowing the aft pin to again hold the board in place, or 3) simply use the cleat the pennant to hold the board in place. I elected option number 2 (see photo). The center board was reconditioned, new pennant attached, aft pin reset and bottom paint applied at the Balboa Basin Boat Yard in the fall of 2019.
