Mitch Carnes of Santa Cruz, CA was the original owner of this M17, built by Bob Eeg in 2010. Changes in interests and priorities resulted in her being stored after little use.

Craig Smith of Reno, NV, the 2nd owner, named her "Grace" after his granddaughter. When he bought her in 2017 she had only been sailed 11 times. He also had an M15, "Midnite Monty". Craig wanted to sail both models to decide which he would keep. See his comparison video on YouTube.
Update: Craig has sold both of his Montgomerys and I understand he is now at the helm of an outrigger sailing canoe.

Her third owners, Ingrid and Les Schuldt renamed her "Poppy" after their granddaughter. Poppy was homeported in Truckee, CA.
After significant(but very respectful) upgrades, Poppy was turned into a little cruiser.

Poppy has sailed Lake Pleasant, AZ (2019), Salish100 Cruise on Puget Sound (2019 & 2021), a few weeks sailing and anchoring on Lake Tahoe (2019-2021), as well as numerous day sails on local lakes.
